New Roots, Same Heart: From Texas Sunsets to Oregon Pines
Big news, everyone! If you've followed my journey, you know my heart has always been drawn to capturing authentic love stories. For years, I've had the incredible privilege of doing just that under the vast Texas skies. But life, much like love, is an adventure, and my newest chapter has brought me (and my camera!) north to the stunning landscapes of Oregon!
That's right – I've officially relocated my wedding photography business from Texas to the Pacific Northwest, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Trading plains for mountains feels like stepping into a whole new world of inspiration, and I am so ready to explore all the magic Oregon has to offer couples in love.
The question remains… Why Oregon? Why Now?
The allure of the PNW is undeniable. The dramatic coastlines, the lush forests, the moody mountain ranges, the charming vineyards – it's a photographer's paradise! There's a certain energy here, a blend of adventure and cozy intimacy, that resonates deeply with my style and the stories I aim to tell. I'm incredibly excited to connect with Oregon couples and discover the unique, beautiful venues this state holds.

When I talk about my wedding photography style, I often use the words cozy, whimsical, and dreamy. But what does that actually mean for your photos and your experience on the wedding day? Expect images that draw you in – perhaps tighter framing on expressions and interactions, warm tones (especially embracing that beautiful golden hour light or the soft glow of indoor lighting), and an emphasis on touch and shared glances. It's about highlighting the profound comfort and contentment you find in each other. Even in Oregon's vast landscapes, we can find cozy moments focusing purely on your connection.
Whimsical
This is where your unique personalities shine! It's the spontaneous laughter during portraits, the playful spin on the dance floor, the wind catching a veil just right, the charming, quirky details you've woven into your day, or the unscripted, in-between moments that are full of life. It’s a touch of lighthearted magic and spontaneous joy.
Dreamy
Or in more fanciful words, The Ethereal Romance. This speaks to the overall aesthetic – soft, romantic, and almost painterly. Think beautiful, soft light (that gorgeous Oregon diffused light is perfect!), flowing fabrics, gentle movements, and images that feel emotionally resonant and timeless. It's like stepping into a beautiful memory. Expect soft focus at times (using techniques like wide apertures to create that beautiful blurry background), an emphasis on gorgeous light (backlighting, hazy sunshine, twilight), and compositions that feel balanced and artful.
